Personality: Benjamin is a relatively friendly guy who has a wonderful work ethic. Anything that would require arduous work or just anything that would pass time (besides sleeping), he would do with no complaints. Despite being a nice person, he is prone to mischievous habits or just messing with people in a harmless way. Speaking of harmless, this kid is a big, goofy teddy bear who tends to be submissive to kids and women. His biggest flaw is that he's a natural flirt and wouldn't hesitate to compliment a woman, though he doesn't know his limit on that sometimes. He is usually the witness in group settings, but wouldn't hesitate to be assertive if the situation calls for it. His goofy nature comes from the fact that he likes to entertain kids and make them laugh.

History: Benjamin was born to a fairly well off family since his parents were successful business owners. His mother always loved to dress her son up in various clothing, but being a kid that he was, Ben liked to go in the park and play and get dirty. Of course his mother didn't approve of this and scolded him every time he came home dirty. His father would go to meetings and drag Ben with him so that he could introduce his son to the thriving business world and hopefully take over for him when he's old enough. This kid of course really had no interest in it whatsoever, complaining it was too boring for him.

Now this boy didn't have any friends due to his parents being a bit overprotective, so he decided to try and make friends with the workers around his parents' manor, not much luck with that though. One person he finally became 'friends' with was an old Parascet who was the farmer/gardener of the place. Ben took great interest in the plants, so the old guy took him under his wing and taught him everything he knew. Everyday after his studies, Ben went out to the old man to learn new things like how to take care of fruits and vegetables, where and when to grow them, "the science" behind it all, and how to take care of soil so the plants can be healthier and the soil reusable. On days he had off, Ben would get up super early and help the old man with his chores. Ben's parents didn't care much of this cause his studies improved greatly (though his mom still gets mad at him getting dirty lol). Ben and the old Parascet were inseparable and work partners for a good while until one day in Spring, the old guy didn't show up. Concerned for his aging friend, he asked around before someone told him that the old guy was in the hospital. Worry settled in now as Ben made his way to the hospital to visit the old guy. Ben found him in bed dying and started to cry. The old man said that it was his time and he was thankful for Ben and his company. As a last token, he gave little Ben his eviolite he had since he was a young paras and patted the boy's head and told him to be good before feeling his life slip away from his grasp. Ben was only 12 when he watched the old guy die right in front of his eyes.

Ben, all depressed and whatnot, secluded himself off from the world even more so than his parents do. It was within 3 months he realized that he shouldn't be wasting his time moping and continue the old man's duty and took the job of taking care of the garden. He also found himself going to the pokeathlon regularly to build speed, strength, and endurance. Though with this schedule, he wouldn't concentrate on his studies much and that didn't go well with his parents.

By the time he was 14, his parents finally had enough of him not concentrating on his studies or showing any interest in the family business, so they sent Ben off to a private school near Olivine City. Of course Ben objected to this idea, but some time away from home might do him good. Being the new kid at a prestigious boarding school wasn't all fun and games, but Ben learned to coup and not mind the ruthless onslaught by some of his peers. Since he didn't make many friends, he took his free time to wander off into Olivine and enjoy the sights and sounds. One would usually fine him at the shore staring out into the ocean, the lighthouse, or helping out at the cafe there. Within his 4 years of attending the school, he's made few friends and took a Brazilian jutsu class whilst in the city.

After graduating, Ben didn't go home. He really didn't want to deal with his parents anymore and decided to stay in Olivine, despite his mother's plea. He did various odd jobs, from arduous labor by the shore, to helping out at the cafe frequently. All this was to keep him occupied and to save money for something bigger. I don't know what's with the four years thing I got going on but when Ben reached the age of 22, he raised a good amount of money for himself and decided to go try and see if he could buy land to start a farm....well something similar to that for fruits and vegetables. During this time, guilt and shame washed over him when he realized he make the mistake of not going home and basically telling his parents off. He went immediately home to make amends with his parents, namely his mother, who was heartbroken about him not wanting to come back. He didn't want to take over, he wanted to life a simple life. His mother, and unwillingly his father, came to terms and let him do what he wanted as long as he doesn't up and brush them off again. Hearing about pokejinka park through some of his family members and how it was a really nice place (and whatnot), Ben packed his bags and bid his family farewell before heading off to said island and made a spot for himself in Arcane since it was most peaceful.
